Átt þú gamla Island.is Web (Script) vöruna?

VPN-in kemur í stað userscripts. Eyða þarf Userscripts appinu svo það trufli ekki VPN-umbreytinguna.

1. Haltu inni á Userscripts app-tákninu.
2. Ýttu á Remove App → Delete App → Delete.
3. Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Userscripts → slökktu á Allow Extension .
4. Lokaðu öllum Safari-töflum og opnaðu Safari aftur.

1 Settu upp prófílinn

Prófíllinn setur upp VPN (IKEv2) og Surge-vottorðið. Engin notandanafn/lykilorð.

1. Ýttu á bláa takkann → Allow.
2. Opnaðu Settings → Profile Downloaded (efst).
3. Ýttu á Install → sláðu inn aðgangskóða símans → Install.
4. Ef það varar við Unverified, ýttu samt á Install.

2 Treystu vottorðinu

Þetta er annar rofi — VPN virkar ekki fyrir HTTPS fyrr en þetta er kveikt.

1. Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings
2. Kveiktu á fullu trausti fyrir Surge
3. Ýttu á Continue

3 Kveiktu á VPN

1. Opnaðu Settings → VPN (eða General → VPN & Device Management → VPN).
2. Kveiktu á rofanum við Island Surge VPN.
3. Bíddu þar til stendur Tengt. Þú verður EKKI beðin/n um notandanafn eða lykilorð.
4. Lítið VPN merki birtist efst á skjánum.

4 Prófaðu

Opnaðu island.is í Safari (ekki Chrome). Nýja kennitalan þín ætti að sjást.

Klárt þegar VPN segir Tengt og Surge-vottorðið er treyst.

Virkar ekki?

1. VPN: staðfestu að Island Surge VPN segi Tengt.
2. Surge: Certificate Trust Settings verður að vera kveikt.
3. Userscripts: ef þú átt gamla Web vöruna — eyða Userscripts appinu og slökkva á Safari-viðbótinni.
4. Private Relay: slökktu á iCloud Private Relay (Stillingar → nafnið þitt → iCloud).
5. Safari: lokaðu öllum töflum og opnaðu aftur.
6. Ef VPN tengist ekki: slökktu og kveiktu aftur á VPN, eða endurræstu símann.

Already have the older Island.is Web (Script) product?

The VPN replaces the userscript. Delete the Userscripts app so it does not interfere with the VPN rewrite.

1. Touch and hold the Userscripts app icon.
2. Tap Remove App → Delete App → Delete.
3. Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions → Userscripts → turn Allow Extension OFF (if still listed).
4. Close all Safari tabs and open Safari again.

1 Install the profile

The profile installs VPN (IKEv2) and the Surge certificate. No username or password.

1. Tap the blue button → Allow.
2. Open Settings → Profile Downloaded (at the top).
3. Tap Install → enter your passcode → Install.
4. If it warns Unverified, still tap Install.

2 Trust the certificate

This is a separate switch — HTTPS will not work until this is on.

1. Settings → General → About → Certificate Trust Settings
2. Enable full trust for Surge
3. Tap Continue

3 Turn on the VPN

1. Open Settings → VPN (or General → VPN & Device Management → VPN).
2. Turn on the switch for Island Surge VPN.
3. Wait until it says Connected. You will NOT be asked for a username or password.
4. A small VPN badge shows at the top of the screen.

4 Test

Open island.is in Safari (not Chrome). Your new kennitala should show.

Done once VPN says Connected and the Surge certificate is trusted.

Not working?

1. VPN: confirm Island Surge VPN says Connected.
2. Surge: Certificate Trust Settings must be enabled.
3. Userscripts: if you used the older Web product — delete the Userscripts app and turn off its Safari extension.
4. Private Relay: turn off iCloud Private Relay (Settings → your name → iCloud).
5. Safari: close all tabs and open again.
6. If VPN will not connect: toggle VPN off/on, or reboot the phone.
